"Good design is making something intelligible and memorable. Great design is making something memorable and meaningful."

—Dieter Rams

Hey there, I’m Carissa.

I’m a product designer based in Portland, Oregon. I currently work remotely for a startup, designing secure collaborative software for enterprise clients.

Before that, I spent a couple of years freelancing around town in the advertising, marketing, and branding industry. Some people I’ve helped include ZOOM+Care, Converse, NEMO Design, and Portland Monthly Magazine.

In past lives, I’ve co-founded an indie wedding collective, qualified for the 2020 Olympic Marathon Trials, and designed wedding invitations for the Ford family.

When I’m not designing things, I’m usually found training for some sort of athletic feat on the roads and trails around Portland. Right now, I’m focused on @thespeedproject, an unsanctioned 340 mile relay race through Death Valley. 😳

See something you like? Reach out. I’m always looking for a fun side project to stretch myself. 👀🤸‍♀️⚡️
